Community Impact

A Catalyst for Positive Change

Helios HR is particularly proud of its role as a catalyst for in the community. We help educate and encourage our partners, clients, and friends about how they can impact positive change where there is need in our community. Through the years our outreach efforts have touched hundreds of businesses and engaged thousands of individuals in support of local efforts. In addition to participating in company-sponsored events and pro-bono services, Helios team members donate their own time and resources, as well as enlist the support of their families and friends through organized and team-based activities.

jeansday-2011-albardo (1)Through volunteer efforts, Helios HR has provided sustained support to many organizations within the Washington metro area – in fact, too many for us to include. What we can say is from collecting coats to keep our neighbors warm through winter, walking and running in 5Ks, putting together Thanksgiving meals, singing charity karaoke on stage, collecting backpacks and basic school necessities, making lunch and feeding those less fortunate, giving blood, sponsoring benefit events, providing pro bono consulting, resume writing and interviewing skills workshops, mentoring members of future generation, sharing our gently-used business attire, and donating plain old hard-earned cash, Helios is there for our community.

We are humbled by the impact we are making to our community and encouraged to continue our efforts on a greater scale as we continue to grow.

Helios was awarded the National Capital Area Business Ethics Award, which recognizes organizations that have a commitment to business excellence and to the highest standards of civic and social responsibility, integrity, and ethical conduct. We were also commended by a Senate Joint Resolution from the Virginia Senate, established to recognize individuals, businesses, and organizations that have demonstrated a strong commitment to serving the Reston community and improving the lives of others, and were a finalist in the Jefferson Awards for Public Service which is a prestigious national recognition system honoring community and public volunteerism in America.

“On behalf of the Commonwealth of Virginia, I am proud to congratulate you for being recognized at the 18th Annual Best of Reston Awards Gala for Community Service. Service to family and community are traits that I admire about all others. As a leader in the ranks of your community you have touched the lives of countless people. Thank you for the many ways you have contributed to the betterment of our Commonwealth.” – Senator Timothy Kaine
