Local Children in Need of Backpacks

Helios HR is teaming up with Reston Interfaith (www.restoninterfaith.org) , a local non-profit organization which promotes self-sufficiency through support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, affordable housing, quality childcare, and other services, to collect backpacks for underprivileged children in the Northern Virginia area. The goal is to collect 5,000 new backpacks to distribute to public school children for the 2008-09 school year.

Here is how you can help:

• Backpack collection runs through August 28th. Backpacks must be new, with no wheels or corporate logos.

• They may be dropped off at the Helios office in Reston, VA or a Helios HR Business Partner will pick them up from your office. To schedule a pick up, contact Marisa Krafsig at mkrafsig@helioshr.com.

If you want to participate but don’t have time to shop for backpacks, you can send a check payable to Reston Interfaith to:
