The Washington, DC market continues to hold one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation. This is positive news for our region, but it also means that employers need to compete for the top talent that is critical to their future growth and success. Once you have attracted the attention of top talent for your business, are you confident you can confirm their acceptance? The following strategies may help:
- Understand that recruiting is not only an evaluation process but it is absolutely a selling process. Top talent need to know the value of joining your organization. Learning the key motivators for the candidate is important to a successful recruitment process.
- Know how to identify your top candidate. Create a performance profile by analyzing the position. Give consideration to the duties, responsibilities, necessary skills, outcomes and work environment of a particular job. Identify a successful work ethic, behavior traits and experience that best suit the role.
