It is we who need to thank you for putting on a great awards event. It was a rewarding experience for Interplan. It is always nice to know that the things you do in your business have value for others. The experience of applying for the Helios HR award, as well as the networking and breakfast ceremony, has energized us to keep it up! I left the breakfast with some great ideas to try to incorporate into our corporate lifestyle. We just might have to apply for the Helios Award again next year. Every winter, Reston Interfaith Coat Closet, with the help of local organizations and the community, collects and distributes coats for less fortunate families in the Northern Virginia area. The demand has been extremely high and with temperatures dropping, coats were distributed very quickly upon their arrival at the Coat Closet.

Due to the efforts of Helios HR employees, our clients, friends, neighbors and associates, 1,271 coats have been collected for our neighbors in need! In the last four years since Helios has been participating, we have been able to collectively donate over 3,000 coats!

Helios HR divided employees into four teams in order to increase the competitiveness (all for a good cause!) and fun of the coat collection process. Each team captain helped to brainstorm ways to reach new, potential donors and identify those individuals and organizations willing to support this worthwhile cause. We continued to be touched and amazed at the generosity and compassion of contributors who willingly helped to spread the word throughout their organizations, neighborhoods, friends and families.

We are SO proud and thankful.  Everyone’s efforts are sincerely appreciated and reflect a warm and caring attitude. THANK YOU!
