Awards Recognize Companies Emphasizing Employee Development
Reston, VA - June 6, 2008 - Helios HR announced today the winners for the 2008 Helios Apollo AwardsTM.
The Apollo Awards recognize organizations that invest in an intentional culture of continuous learning. This includes creating development opportunities for employees, as well as providing the resources for managers and employees to participate in a robust performance management program.
This year’s winners exemplify excellence in promoting employee development. The nomination process was a stringent one. Nominees were judged on the following criteria: professional development opportunities made available to employees, how those opportunities are communicated, their performance management process, individual goal setting and holding employees and managers accountable for performance, and the quantifiable impact of their employee development initiatives on the organization.

The awards breakfast was held on June 6th at the Fairview Park Marriott. Program sponsors were Jackson Lewis LLP, The Meltzer Group, DC Rainmakers, Payroll Network, John Hancock Financial Network, Hinge, and CSI.
All nominees are invited to participate in a roundtable discussion where best practices in employee development will be shared. The roundtable will be conducted at the Tower Club on July 22, 2008 from 7:30-9:30 am.
