Finalists Just Announced for the 2015 Helios Apollo Awards!

Recognizing Washington Employers for Growing, Developing & Engaging Employees

RESTON, VA (March 6, 2015) - Helios HR, a human capital consulting and recruiting firm, proudly announces the 26 finalists for the 2015 Helios Apollo Awards. The finalists, selected from a pool of more than 200 nominations, represent organizations from the Washington, DC metropolitan area that promote employee development as part of their integral culture. (The complete list of finalists can be found at the end of this release).

Since 2007, Helios has recognized outstanding organizations that build “cultures of intention” throughout Washington each year. Created by President and CEO, Kathy Albarado, the Helios Apollo Awards honor local employers for their contributions in building organizational cultures that encourage the development of their people, helping to create a stronger community at large.

An independent panel of judges review the Apollo Award nominations for innovative and impactful employee development programs to select the finalists and award winners. The judges are comprised of prominent industry leaders and former Apollo Award recipients. The 2015 Helios Apollo Awards judges include:

  • Sue Evans, President and CEO of Evans Incorporated;
  • Michael Frohm, COO of Goodwill of Greater Washington;
  • Shirl Jenkins, EVP and CHRO of IntelliDyne LLC;
  • Sana’ Rasul, President of HR Girlfriends;
  • Michael Waddell, Managing Partner of INTEGRITYOne Partners;
  • Mary Beth Wilkerson, Director Talent and Organization Capability of Neustar; and
  • Jaime Nespor Zawmon, Regional President of SmartCEO.

The Awards are presented in multiple categories based on organization size with a distinct category for not for profits. Winners of each category will be announced at the Helios Apollo Awards breakfast ceremony on Wednesday, May 27th at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson’s Corner, Va.
