Call for Nominations for the Helios Apollo Awards™
Recognizing Forward-Thinking Employers for Outstanding Employee Development Programs
RESTON, VA, December 14, 2014 – Helios HR today announced the welcoming of nominations for the 2015 Helios Apollo Awards™, which recognizes Greater Washington employers who focus on the growth and development of their people. The deadline to submit an application is Friday, February 13, 2015.
The winners will be announced at a breakfast ceremony at the Ritz Carlton Tysons Corner on Wednesday, May 27th at 7:30 AM. Applicants will be judged against their peers of similar employee population size for their commitment to employee development and engagement, specifically highlighting innovative, collaborative and agile programs. These Award-winners set the standard for leadership, growth, and giving back in the Greater Washington community.
Applications will be reviewed by an independent panel of recognized human capital leaders and former Apollo Award winners. The judges will consider a variety of areas, including:
- The employee onboarding process;
- Opportunities for mentoring;
- Innovative programs or opportunities to develop leadership skills through charitable community involvement; and
- The impact of a program(s) on an individual and the organization.
The honorees of Apollo are building cultures of intention. They have created an environment where people bring enthusiasm and commitment to their work every day, which impacts the community and benefits us all. By sharing their stories, the honorees inspire our colleagues in Washington to focus on what more they can do to develop and engage their teams and serve the community in which we all work and live.
