Helios HR is Recognized with Prestigious National Capital Business Ethics Award

News

Reston, VA November 2, 2010—After 10 months of evaluation and research, the National Capital Chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, in partnership with George Mason University, awarded one of its prestigious National Capital Business Ethics Awards(NCBEA) to Helios HR, a human resources outsourcing and consulting firm in Reston, Virginia.

NCBEA recognizes businesses outside of the financial service industry that have a commitment to business excellence and to the highest standards of civic and social responsibility, integrity and ethical conduct. “We had more than 100 nominees this year, an increase showing that companies are taking ethical behavior more seriously,” says event co-chair Jeff Hamblen. Awards are given in four categories depending on the size of the company. Helios HR won in the medium size category.

“I have always believed when you do the right thing, the right thing will happen,” stated Kathy Albarado, Helios HR President and CEO. “I am honored to be considered among such an esteemed group of professionals. The NCBEA recognition is a result of our team and our client acknowledgment for how we do our jobs, the integrity we demonstrate to our profession, and our commitment to the community where we live and work.” A factor in Helios HR’s selection was the company’s own corporate recognition award program, the Apollo Awards, which recognize organizations that support and reward employee development programs.

The ethics award was presented to Helios HR on October 28, 2010 at a black-tie event at the Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner. The event recognized companies that have demonstrated their integrity, civic and social responsibility, and business excellence through an extensive nomination process, case studies, individual interviews and other criteria.
