Here we are, it's November 2020 and we've been experiencing a global pandemic for nearly a whole year. Stateside, this pandemic has manifested stress and anxiety for employees and leaders alike.

On Friday, January 25, 2019, Helios hosted the Human Capital Impact Forum (HCIF), a program where C-level and HR leaders come to learn, collaborate and adapt human capital programs to support business growth. The topic for this session was “Reducing Healthcare Costs, Strategies to Know for 2019 & Beyond.”

When I began consulting, I always knew I would be helping companies solve HR problems. In fact, that was the reason I was there! What has surprised me the most is the number of retirement plan account problems I have encountered throughout my time with Helios.

Fall is here and this is the time of year that some employers dread…Open Enrollment season. It’s never too early to prepare for open enrollment and engage your employees to make health care choices for the following plan year. Being overwhelmed during the process is inevitable, but there are ways to make sure things go smoothly.

Like most of us, you probably hope or expect your children will take care of you when you are no longer self-sufficient. Unfortunately, most children will NOT take care of their parents. Eye opener, right?
